83025 Thermometer Armor, Brass | VEE GEE

Accidental contact breakage is the leading cause of glass thermometer replacement in active lab and industrial environments. The VEE GEE 83025 nickel-plated brass armor case wraps a rigid metal shell around the thermometer, absorbing impact that would shatter glass on a bench or floor. A threaded screw cap secures the bulb end — the most fragile part — during storage and transport; a ring top allows the armored thermometer to hang from a hook, rack, or process vessel during use. Two lengths: 83025A for 12 in thermometers, 83025N for 15.5 in thermometers. Outside diameter 0.374 in (9.5 mm).

Features & Benefits

• Nickel-Plated Brass Construction — Durable Protection: Nickel-plated brass provides a hard, corrosion-resistant outer shell that absorbs impact and protects the enclosed thermometer from breakage during rough handling, field use, or industrial environments. The metal case prevents the kind of accidental contact breakage that is the leading cause of thermometer failure in working lab and process environments.
• Threaded Screw Cap — Secure Closure: The threaded cap screws securely onto the armor body, holding the thermometer in place and preventing it from sliding out. The cap protects the thermometer bulb — the most vulnerable part — during transport and storage.
• Ring Top — Easy Suspension: The ring at the top allows the armored thermometer to be hung from a hook, rack, or suspension stand — common in industrial temperature monitoring, distillation setups, and process vessels where the thermometer hangs vertically during use.
• 0.374 in (9.5 mm) Outside Diameter: Consistent OD across both lengths — fits standard armored thermometer mounting clips and suspension hardware designed for this diameter class.
• Two Lengths Available: 83025A fits 12 in (30.5 cm) thermometers; 83025N fits 15.5 in (39.3 cm) thermometers. Select to match the overall length of your thermometer.
• 1-Year Warranty.
